The commission
The program called for seven bedrooms, generous shared spaces, a three-car garage, elevator service, a lower-level gym and theater, and strong connections to terraces, porch and garden. Bringing that range together required clear circulation and careful coordination of structure and building services across every level.
Dena House managed the construction as a connected sequence: site work and foundations, framing and enclosure, mechanical and electrical rough-in, vertical circulation, interior millwork and final systems. The resulting spaces shift in character while remaining part of the same house.
The house steps across a mature site while maintaining direct access from main rooms to outdoor terraces, a screened porch and landscaped garden.
A central glass-and-wood stair and elevator connect the three finished levels. Structure, openings and service runs were coordinated around that circulation.
Open kitchen and family spaces are balanced by dining, office, bedroom and retreat spaces, with utility and storage incorporated into the plan.
The below-grade program includes a lounge, gym and purpose-built theater without treating service access or mechanical space as an afterthought.
